Knife River Yacht Club

Join us for another fun filled day with a Coast Guard Safety Day, Pirate Treasure Hunt and Potluck. Great fun for the kids and the grandkids. Dress up in your best pirate gear and be ready to run around.

Festivities start at 1:00 for the Coast Guard Safety and Pirate starts after that.

Potluck starts with a social hour at 5:00, dinner at 6:00.

The following is the tentative schedule of events for the 2010 KRYC season.

June 12th
Coast Guard Instruction on Pirate and Safety Day. Bring your kids or grandkids. It's fun for all. Potluck event in the event. KRYC will provide coffee and punch drink.

July 10th
SDRAWKCAB YTRAP (look at the letters)
Pot luck get together with music. Use your imagination and have some fun. KRYC will provide coffee, desserts and punch drink. Weather provided boat rafting in the evening. Dart games.

August 7th
Marina Day Crafts Sale from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Bring your items to sell.

August 21st
Beach Party and Dinghy Race / Kite Flying / Bonfire. KRYC will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, brats and beach party music. Bring chips, dips and dessert.

September 4th
KRYC Commodore Dinner. Theme to be determined. KRYC to provide main dish, salad, coffee, punch drink.

September 25th
Fall Out party. Location to be determined. We decided to do the fall out party early so people could stay on their boats.

On Saturday, May 29th, the KRYC will hold its annual membership drive.

Meet the board members and join the club.

On Saturday, May 23, the club held two Membership Drive events. The day started at 9:00 with rolls, coffee and juice. We had a great turn-out, everyone enjoying the rolls as a great break in their day.

Later we re-assembled for pizza and soda. The pizza was from Do North (as usual), and was excellent. Again, we had a great turn out and are happy to see so many members returning.

We look forward to the next event, coming up in just a few weeks. Hope you can join us.

On Friday, April 17, the club lost a good friend and aspiring sailor in Patti Majeski. Patti died at the Solvay Hospice House. She enjoyed sailing, skiing, and many more activities.

Patti will be remembered for her wonderful spirit of adventure and her enjoyment of life.

We will miss her.
